Dear alumni, family, and friends of the Hospitality Management program, 

On behalf of the faculty of the School of hospitality, Sport and Recreation Management, I would like to thank each of you for joining us on October 22^nd for our 9^th annual Le Gourmet event.  At last year’s event, we successfully raised over $50,000 for the program.  The money raised from Le Gourmet is vital for the faculty and students of the program.  The proceeds raised from Le Gourmet are used in a variety of ways.  For instance, this past year we were able to:

• Send two faculty members to Costa Rica and Florence to look at a study abroad program for our students
• Attend the New York Hotel show with 15 students
• Recruit new faculty and present our research at our disciplines national conference, The Council on Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Education (CHRIE)
• Attend the National Society of Minorities in Hospitality conference with 8 students
• Provide two scholarships to our students
• Send 5 students to the national Professional Convention Management Association conference
• Send 4 students to the Club Managers Association of America Annual World Conference
• Plus much more
