About the Event

Le Gourmet, entering its 8^th year in 2010, is the single largest fundraiser in support
of the James Madison University School of Hospitality, Sports & Recreation Management, formerly known as the Hospitality & Tourism Management Program.   The evening has always provided a lively way to support this distinguished program while experiencing the very best the hospitality industry has to offer. 

The 2010 theme, “Purple Haze Redux” will incorporate JMU’s purple and gold school colors throughout the prestigious U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s International Hall of Flags. 

The event will pay homage to the 1960's with a colorful theme and a lively dance band.  With this “Sixties Chic” motif, attendees are encouraged to dress to impress while being ready to rock the night away to live music from the sixties and seventies genres.  As in the past, no “Le Gourmet” would be complete without a dazzling display of culinary skill which will be provided by RSVP Catering.   RSVP Catering was the recipient of the prestigious 2009 Corporate Citizenship Award.  Below is an overview of the evening:
